What Sara wants for the next generation:
Hello Appleseed Community!
My greatest hope for the next generation is that they hold onto their intuition and curiosity - their connection with themselves, and the outside world.
That they aren’t afraid to try new things and to take healthy risks to learn something new.
That they aren’t limiting themselves to what they’ve been told they’re capable of, but strive for what they know they’re capable of.
That they stand up for what they believe in because they feel the passion inside of them, not just because a friend is doing it.
That they choose sunlight and nature over screen light and the couch.
That they pick up a book, or explore how something works instead of googling it.
Yoga has been such a tool for me personally to connect with myself and the world around me. I was lost in the “doing as others say” mentality, and not thinking for or listening to myself. It wasn’t until I started learning about the body and the science behind yoga and meditation that I truly started appreciating and wanting to learn more about how we work as humans, and could better understand myself in the process.
I hope something out there sparks the next generation to be curious enough that they too come to better understand themselves as they grow, and to share that passion with others.
With Love,
Sara
