Our cancellation policies
private and on-going contracts:
We require at least 30 days notice of cancellation of individual sessions, or termination of the contract. This ensures our teachers are guaranteed their income for the month and have time to take on other contracts to make up that income if need be. If you cancel a session that is within the month, you will be charged the full fee. We appreciate your adherence to this policy.
teacher cancellations:
Whenever possible, we will always provide a substitute teacher for a class when the regular teacher is unable to make class. In the unfortunate event that we are unable to find a substitute, we will give the client as much notice as possible if class needs to be cancelled (in most scenarios, it will be at least 24 hours in advance)
after school yoga and other public classes:
The full cost is required to reserve your spot for a program or service. Cancelling at any time once payment has been made results in no refund, with no exceptions.
kids yoga teacher training:
A deposit of $500 is due before May 1st, the remainder of you balance is due July 1st. Cancelling at any time once payment has been made results in no refund, with no exceptions. Tuition can not be transferred to another iteration/cohort of the training.
school policies
cancellation:
We require at least 30 days notice for cancellation of individual sessions, or termination of the contract. This ensures our teachers are guaranteed their income for the month and have time to take on other contracts to make up that income if need be. Once you have signed your contract, you are committed to receiving these classes and paying for these classes, or any make up classes scheduled, no refunds. If a teacher or Appleseed admin need to cancel a class, we will schedule a make-up date. If a make-up class can't be scheduled, you will not be required to pay for the class.
ready to yoga:
Please have the children ready for their scheduled class time. If a class is late to their session, you will be charged for the time our teacher is there but isn’t teaching. Please ensure your teachers are aware of any date or time changes in the yoga schedule so that our teacher doesn't come to teach without anyone knowing of the change.
staff participation:
We require at least one of your school staff present and participating in classes at all times. This not only is an amazing example to model for your students and increases their engagement, but also best supports our teachers and your students to build that connection that is so integral to what we do (not to mention, yoga for your staff - how wonderful is that?!)
*NEW* photo/media permission:
We understand that documenting your day is necessary for most programs, and a wonderful way to share with families what you've been up to for the day. Please be sure to ask our teachers' permission if they are going to be included in any documentation (i.e., photos, video, etc) prior to including them in it.
our promise to you:
Our teachers are experienced, highly-trained, and the best at what they do. We require all teachers have a VSC and will send you a copy with your completed contract. We know your students will love their time with our teachers, and be excited for “yoga time” as each session approaches! Our programs are themed, consistent, simple, and hold to the following:
-30 minute program duration
-1 yoga song to start, and 1 to end, minimum
-1 breathing technique
-multiple poses through a story-like structure
-5 minutes of relaxation/meditation
our covid-19 policy
Appleseed is taking every precaution for the health and safety of our families surrounding the current global health crisis. Also, to minimize risk and take great care through this time, we’ve implemented changes to our teaching practices, cleaning protocols, and staff training while maintaining to provide you with a quality experience. All in-person sessions follow standard protocols around hand hygiene, mask wearing, daily student screenings, and ministry of health guidelines, and all our in-person teachers are doubly vaccinated.
our outdoor weather practices
During outdoor, in-person sessions we believe in dressing for the weather and LEARNING from our environment. A rainy day is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the wonders of Mama Earth, and shouldn’t stop us from playing yoga! We plan and dress according to the weather, and alter our program as we see fit to accommodate the elements. That being said, there are certain extreme weather warnings that will warrant postponing a class, such as: thunder and lightning, extreme cold warnings, extreme heart warnings, tornado or hurricane warnings, etc. It will be at the discretion of Appleseed Yoga whether a session be postponed, and all participating students will be notified with as much notice as possible (typically two hours or more in advance.)
