While on nature quests with my kids iām often blown away by all the things I was āsureā about that arenāt actually true. Below are three surprising facts youāll want to share with your kids!
1) Not all conifer trees keep their needles. Itās true - one specific type of coniferous tree sheds its needles, the Tamarack. āThe leaves are needle-like, short, light blue-green, turning bright yellow before they fall in the autumn.ā - Wikipedia
2) Bears kinda donāt (and do) hibernate. Some say yes and some say no, depending on the definition! Check this out.
